Of course, folks might just BOYCOTT the compulsory provisions and have them arrest us all...
Then who will work, pay taxes, fund their lavish lifestyles on Capitol Hill?
It isn't "reform", Joey (boy). It's an abomination. It reforms nothing.
I hope you are the first to have to depend on it.
Geeze, you start a lot of meaningless threads! Do we really need another from you? Are you just after points?
Why did you have to say the same thing twice. Literally two post up, 15 minutes ago you said the exact same thing.

Why didn't you just edit your first post? Do you have to have the last word, or maybe you thought one of your friends would miss it the first time you posted it and you wouldn't get rep for it.
fact is that the bills that are being purposed are garbage...they do NOTHING to lower the cost of health CARE...they do NOTHING to even lower the cost of health INSURANCE...btw..insurance is not CARE.....all the house version does is MANDATE that you buy insurnace, either though a private insuance company, or though the 'government' insuance company...and the currenty senate version, wont do crap for the supposed 30 million uninsured since they mostly fall in the 18-45 age bracket...lowing the age of medicare to 55 will do NOTHING for what these bills were originally supposed to take care of
we need health CARE reform...not more bureaucracy
and single payer is not the answer, not with the size of our population, especially the amount of elderly, sick, and the 'non-workers'.
every country that has single payer, is cutting back because they cant afford it...to include france
LOOK, at either of the bills, the house bill, and the currently debated senate bill....they do NOTHING to lower costs:
will they make a xray cheaper....no
will the make an MRI machine cheaper....no
will it make perscription drugs cheaper....no
will they lower the costs of running a hospital or doctors office....no
will they lower the electric costs to run a hospital/doctors office...NO...in fact with cap and trade, everyone electric bills will be going UP
will they lower INSURANCE costs...nope
what will the house bill do...it has a 'government' option health INSURANCE, and it MANDATES that people buy either the government option or private....does nothing to lower cost of insurance,,and surely does NOTHING to lower the actual cost of medical CARE
Of course, folks might just BOYCOTT the compulsory provisions and have them arrest us all...

If unions can strike, why not "the people"?
I was wondering what people could do to protest what has been done. One thing I thought of is self employed/business owners could elect to have their 2009 tax refund sent to them instead of having it carried over to the first quarter of 2010 estimated taxes as is commonly done. Maybe also just send token amount estimated tax payments for the first and second quarters. Maybe make the check the same as the bill number?
I'm not sure it would really severely hurt the govt, but maybe it would call attention to people's displeasure.
i am not so much terrorized by the endless black hole of debt we are going down but by the utter deaf ear of congress to the american people. i emailed rep and senator i did my job why do they continue in free fall in debt? confident failures.
All of mine vote the way we want them to do except for one and he was elected by the strong union part of the state. He is retiring after this term so will certainly be replaced by a good Republican who will vote with the rest of them.
I love this purely partisan pile of Pelosi we are about to be saddled with but although Obama wanted one or two Republican Senators to vote with his people Dirty Harry threw away any chance of that happening in this Congress.
My favorite part of the bill that 15 Million more Americans will have Medicare coverage because it's eligiblity is being expanded to include those households earning up to 133% of the poverty level.
That benefit was $374 Billion of the $870 Billion ten year price tag.
Another 15 Million uninsured will be covered under private plans leaving just 15 Million Americans uninsured.....5% of the population.
