Good grief. This had nothing to do with "rights of women"

If one is ignorant of the parliamentary process, one should get themselves educated before bloviating

The goal here had nothing to do with the remarks being made by these democrats. The move by the republicans as simply a parliamentary procedure to slow down the vote on the bill.

This is done all the time by both sides and has been done in exactly the same manner for more than a hundred year.

This isn’t about “women” any more than it is about pizza.

That makes about as much sense as a football bat.

Get a life.

BTW, this ammendment means nothing. It was just Pelosi's way of getting the blue dogs on board with the vote. The ammendment will be stripped out of the bill during conference.
You've been paying for the irresponsible behavior of others for years ... cases in point?

seatbelts, helmets, drunk driving, higher auto insurance, the obama administration, and the list goes on and on ...

But the video looks so cool to those who dont understand this. It helps them ignore reality and pretend their party does not do the same while pointing fingers.. oooh look at them.. The only humorous thing is that they are pointing fingers at the other party for actually following the rules of the process and it shows their own ignorance of how things work.

Exactly they dont get that. Democrats are allowed to speak for however long they wish if you listen to some here

[quote=bigskydude;11548320]Yesterday, 65 of Pelosi's Democrats turned their backs on Women by allowing strict abortion clauses to be written into the Pelosi bill ... I will never be a Democrat.

And this video below speaks to the reason why I will never be a Republican;

Politicians have a nasty habit of caving in to popular opinion. Right now the anit-abortion types are the VOCAL majority (if not the true majority), so in order to "get the damn thing passed" they will sacarifice and concede anything. Much to my distain.

I REALLY have a problem with this healthcare thing. I do not like the idea of supporting (with my tax dollars), non-essential health care procedures. I do NOT believe that it should cover abortion (even though I am very strongly pro-choice), because, in *most* cases abortion is not a necessary procedure, but an optional one. HOWEVER, I do not believe that we should be required to fund maternity charges either, since last time I checked, having a baby is not a necessary procedure either, and is totally optional.

I will fight this thing to my last breath.

So lets just keep doing it. Over and over and over again. Lets never take a stand and make someone be responsable for themselves.

Federal tax money should not go to fund abortions unless it is for rape, incest or the LIFE of the mother. If a woman CHOOSES to have sex let her or her partner pay for the abortion.

I suspect they actually understand quite well. They just lack enough personal integrity to speak honestly.
Instead they think they found an excuse to bash republicans.

This is about convincing women that republicans hate them. These people don’t care about facts and truth they care about pushing their agenda.

If a lie wins the day, that lie is sacrosanct because they believe their end goal is sacred.

It is pathetic. It is disgusting. It is what these people are.

So, you dont want to pay for the abortion but you will likely pay for 18 years of wel\lfare when the mother has a child she cannot afford?

Abortions cost a few hundred dollars. Welfare to a mother and child will cost thousands.
