I'm no fan of guns but I don't think it is right to prevent folks from arming themselves for protection as this is a Constitutional right. Gun control laws have very little impact upon criminals who are determined to possess a gun as they often circumvent laws and purchase their weapons through the black marketplace. It is the law-abiding citizens who are at a disadvantage with gun control laws, especially law-abiding folks who live in the dangerous innercities.
Link isn't working try again because I want to read it thanks.
The link doesn't say much.
Did this Senator advocate to have ALL guns consfiscated?
Or just control on some?
Or just control?
The rabid (and stupid) "The Democrats are Taking Our Guns, ALL of them Forever" people have a tendecy to spin (but their irrational fear sure makes gun manufacturers happy)
I believe in gun control.
I own guns.
I would use them on intruders.
NOBODY has EVER tried to take them away.
So I don't see what the big deal is with this Senator ?????????
There's nothing in that Examiner link about his stance on firearms. Why do I have the feeling this is one of those Senators who called for "Keeping guns out of the hands of felons" which is then used in the typical slippery slope logic on talk radio "First Felons, then people with misdemeanors, then people who are bald, then all people with pick-up trucks..."
What's this about him needing to take a bullet himself?
Because he was accused of fondling a boy who later said he made up the story?
Strange bizzare gun nut thread.
