give the right-wingers an hour or so, til the bloggers figure out a way to twist some phrase in the speech to indicate pure commie/nazi EVIL. or maybe til the next limbaugh or beck broadcast. then the right wingers on this forum will have more to say.
I'm disappointed, though not at all surprised, that Obama's speech doesn't address these issues that have been plaguing our public schools for decades:
You know, if obama had been satisfied with just the speech and didn't put out a "study guide" and that text about "helping obama", this would have been a non-issue.
Of course, it's still All About Him;
Quote:
* 56 iterations of “I”
* 19 iterations of “school”
* 10 iterations of “education”
* 8 iterations of “responsibility”
* 7 iterations of “country”
* 5 iterations each of “parents”, “teachers”
* 3 iterations of “nation”
As I stated in another thread here, I was on the fence until actually reading the speech myself. After giving it a couple of reviews, I have no problem with it whatsoever, and think it is a great speech to give to the kids. It should resonate with many of them no matter their personal circumstance.
I fully support allowing kids to see and listen to this speech.

and Bush asking kids to write him letters on how they can hel him in 91 was....
I just read about a guy who read the unedited version backwards... he put the neighborhood dogs into gulags and grew a weird little mustache. Drove him completely insane. Beck was right man!
