chrysler is now on its last legs.
we are still fighting 2 wars and we are now lobbing missiles at pakistan. there is no plan in sight on war strategy.
local and state revenues are way down.
state pensions have lost a lot of money and are still allowed to engage in risky behavior. (read up on CALpers pension for just one example)
banks are failing all over the place and the FDIC is bankrupt.

Haliburton, oil companies and defense contractors have been making billions for the last years
