Your options are pretty limited... I think things are "improving" but we are definitely not in recovery... not yet anyways... to me recovery occurs when job losses become job growth... we are just slowing down in things getting worse with a few things improving... I understand that job growth is the last thing but I think that's just "convenient" for people to say so they can change the "mood" of people earlier on...

I never seen the recession, but for man americans, the recession is recovering and has been for sometime.. It took us 10+ years to bottom out, why do people think it'll take 6 months to recover?

Even Vegas is wobbly. For now. But, it's great after labor day. I get top rate service, because many places who were snooty before, are being ultra nice. My dollar means something over there. (But I am still trying to convince the slot machines)

It's only been seven months, good Lord. Global catastrophes dont tie up when your attention span runs short. This is not a movie.

There is no recovery until real jobs are created.

I voted no only because, for me, things are not 'getting better'. I'm still in the same financial rut I've been in for the last ten years or so.

Short answer? No.

We won't be for quite some time I'm afraid ...

Bubbles only beget more bubbles ... the stimulus bubble will only serve to pay out on the corporate promise ... those of us who are still working, or, if you are like me, that own a small business, will have to suffer the brunt of this for more years to come.

We who would be in the trenches, will provide our own kind of stimulus ... we will fight to keep our guys working.

Even in spite of the now 0% profit margin that I'm facing ... I'll keep my guys in there. It's the best stimulus that I can come up with right now.

True. Even when the economy seemed good, it was based on very easy credit, subprime loans and the housing bubble so it was not really a good economy.

We need jobs brought back into the USA and some kind of control over the border so that millions of dirt cheap workers aren't brought in to bring wages way down and welfare programs way up.
