With all due respect I have to disagree. While some of what ALF and Green peace engage certainly is terrorist and should be stopped. I do not think they are the biggest domestic terrorist threat our society faces. I think that comes from extremist right. Attacks by the militant anti-choice movement and extremist members of the American militia movement, such as the 2nd largest attack on US soil, the Oklahoma city bombing, seem to be a larger threat then eco-terrorists.
You must not be familiar with Sea Shepherd then. They almost killed some Canadians last year by breaking up the ice under them. And ALF/ELF and related groups are stepping up their violence worldwide. Getting frustrated I guess.

the oklahoma city bombing was a random act of violence. big difference.

Absolutely, they commit terrorist acts. However, they have not really done anything nearly as deadly as the Oklahoma city bombings. Nor did they bomb the Olympics (killing 2 wounding 111, or engage in infrequent shooting rampages against abortion providers including the one that occurred at a Kansas church service just this year. Imho while they are dangerous extremists in the American militia moment and the violent anti-choice movement are more so.
