You make it sound as though it's in the realms of impossibility for a healthy youngish grandfather to carry a ten year old boy on his shoulders. Here, let me show you that it's not impossible.

Obama's grandfather was a YOUNG grandfather, he was aged just 54 years old in 1972 (the year Apollo 16 and 17 splashed down in the Pacific).
Here's a 1960s photo of Obama on his grandfather's shoulders. Even if you add on a few years to the age he was in this photo, Obama's grandfather hardly looks like a weak and frail old man that couldn't carry a ten year old boy on his shoulders.

It's got to be said that Birthers are DESPERATE and clutching at straws. Right wing bloggers and their fans have taken just 30 seconds of Obama's words and done the following:
1. Pounced upon the the fact that Obama had said that he "GREW up in Hawaii". Some Birthers think he should have said he was BORN in Hawaii. So all of a sudden, as far as some Birthers are concerned, NO ONE should ever say that they've grown up in the place of their birth. Some Birthers suddenly forget that growing up in a place is directly related to what you have seen and experienced in that place.
2. Changed the English language so that they suddenly forget the meaning of and the plural nature the words "those" and "capsules".
3. Put words in to Obama's mouth, to insinuate that he had specifically stated that he had seen the Apollo 11 landing.
4. Suggested that no true American would say that they were "waving American flags, they would just say flags". As if no American has ever talked about waving the Stars and Stripes, Old Glory, the American flag, the US flag. As if the French don't talk about waving the Tricolour. As if the British don't talk about waving the Union Jack.
5. Suggested that a relatively young, fit and healthy grandfather couldn't carry a 10 year old on his shoulders.
Who knows what other desperate "reading into" of Obama's 60 or so words has been going on at various right wing blogs?
Birthers should stop "reading into" things and simply start reading. They should start doing simple web searches to verify their so called facts. This "fact" about Obama seeing Apollo 11, is like many of the "facts" in Birther conspiracy theory, it's all built on a totally false premise.
Birthers, please, STOP IT! You're ridiculous and you're embarrassing yourselves.
