What is it with you repugs? Are you that scared? You act like the Gitmo Detainees which some may be actually innocent of any wrong doing are some sort of cult like super heroes? Leaping tall buildings in a single bound, faster than a locomotive... These are just people folks and some are indeed hardened criminals but nonetheless human beings not blessed with superhuman strength, so.... Get a grip.
Democrats are sinking this as badly as the Republicans... so I wouldn't go so far as to state that Durbin is referring to Republicans only.
The senate shot down funding only because Obama has yet to release a plan on his Gitmo Closing... Heard on the news this morning that he is to address Congress on this very matter tomorrow.
The Republicans are trying to obstruct anything they can just for the sake of doing so. During the last eight years they've already brought America to the brink of disaster. Durbin said what needed to be heard. Hopefully, they are listening.
Durbin bickers over semantics and all of a sudden he's a hero? It's embarrassing that American politicians feel the need to dissect every single sentence spoken by the opposition.
I expect more depth out of liberals. I guess I deserve what I get for setting my standards too high.
It truly does give me great pleasure on what I view as the GOP, a clueless party... I am chomping at the bit when the 2010 / 2012 election cycles a long with the ads from the DNC start appearing. The GOP has given us plenty of fodder just these last few months, can't imagine what the landscape will look like over the next 12 mos or so? I do though see a SNL Skit in the making.

This is one of the reasons I think our country is screwed. Something like this is going to tank your chances for re-election? Good lord the voting public is dumb as hell.
