Everyone knows that the rain cleans the air from pollution eventually. Acid rain is really good for our lakes, streams, soil, and crops too.
And when fuel prices skyrocket and have a domino effect on food prices. Voila people will starve to death and all our lakes will remain clean. How wonderful---Mr. President your the greatest!

Did any of you actually READ the article? My guess is no, all you read was Obama is going to raise gas prices, which, for the most part, isn't the case at all.
First $0.9 / gallon then $0.40, then $1.00 tax. Have you not learned yet? It will NEVER BE ENOUGH.
So much for taxing the rich. I told you anytime a politician runs on raising taxes, never believe the politician it will NEVER be enough and he will come back and tax you more. I couldn't believe that people were so naive. Obama had to love it. And you people thought he was going to raise taxes on the other guy LOLOLOL

This is going to be the second time. That is Obama's answer to everything "raise taxes". Sometimes directly or indirectly so you don't realize it but taking money out of the economy is not a solution for improving employment, never was, never will be.

Man polluted the earth so why not recognize that and take responsibility. There are consequences to our actions. We need to pay the price so that hopefully future generations will benefit from it.

Nothing will increase the cost of your food more than if the fish die from polluted lakes streams and the acid rain makes the soil incapable of growing crops. Thanks in advance for seeing the bigger picture.

Who is to say that the blends and additives they put in gas today are healthy... they always get it wrong.. all this crazy blends add costs and we really don't know if it is killing us ... we buy winter blend with oxygen pumped in it.. we buy air now.
I do know the smell of gas at the pump today is much worse than it used to be.
What the Administration is proposing is finally making Big Oil remove much of the sulphur that is in gasoline and when burned in a motor vehicle makes sulphur dioxide and a whole bunch of sulphur-organic compounds that give rise to Acid Rain which liberates toxic metals into our drinking water and they also ruins our lungs. The sulphur is largely out of the effluents from coal fired power plants because or things called scrubbers and it might be time to clean up our use of hydrocarbons. Also that heavy tar sands oil has even more sulphur than light crudes we are running out of so the problem is only going to get worse.
I have no problem doing my part. If I have to pay a little more to clean up this planet then so be it. I'm sick of people moaning and complaining about having to pay more at the gas pump in order to stop polluting the air they breath. If we don't do something now we will all have to wear masks.

And I am sick of liberals and democrats whining that everyone else should pay the bill. If you don't like it then get a bike and don't contribute to it. Plant your own garden because that food you buy at the grocery store got there by truck. Don't buy anything that is obtainable to you because of fuel. I'm sick of Liberal yahoos.
