The fact that Florida is a southern state, has southerners living in it, southern folk actually voted for their representatives and undoubtedly selected southerners (damn them all!) and they dared to allow Bush to be elected president over Gore just proves it!

Clearly, you cannot dispute the facts I posted in post 45.
And, I do call law enforcement if I observe criminal activity. Every good citizen should. I have followed suspects with the 911 operators on the phone helping patrol cars find the suspect.
And, as someone who carries a concealed weapon all the time, I would not be afraid to use it in the event circumstances of a crime in progress would call for it
I guess they should remove the incarcerated survivor from his cell, back to the farm, so's Farmer Jones can shoot im' in the haid.

I wonder if in Florida, citizens have more rights concerning the use of deadly force than Florida law enforcement enjoys.
If the intent of your spelling is to approximate a "hick" accent, you fail. We don't say "turible" or "haid". In fact many of us are just as edumacated as Obama, with fancy schooling and degrees just like ya all gots.
It is not a hick issue, a redneck issue, or a partisan issue. It is as simple as this: two people broke into somebody else's home, stoled their vehicle, and when confronted, drove the vehicle toward the owner in an apparently threatening manner. It is tragic that a young girl died. Her family has my sympathy. She, however, made a choice - one with serious consequences. When you break into somebody's home, you might get shot. Its kinda worked that way for the last few thousand years. Quit defending them.

I suppose it is possible, have you heard any of the law enforcement people grumbling about the people having too many rights? I know I have heard a lot of them in Texas grumbling about the criminals having too many.
