It's also okay to cut people off on the freeway/in town because 'my suv is bigger than your car'.

I don't mind SUVs, I really don't... I just wish people wouldn't drive them like they're Geo Metros.

I don't care what people drive, but as above, too many people, shouldn't be on public roads. It just seems like the large SUV's has many of those that shouldn't be on the road.

HUH? Have you been paying attention to the news the last 6 months?

Oh, you're right. Duh. I was really tired last night when I was posting and totally spaced that.

Awesome vehicle, terrible mileage for an inline 6 engine. Great motor, great vehicle, very reliable, and easy to repair. But the gas mileage sucks, less than 20mpg
One reason I won't be getting one any time soon. Gas mileage is important to me ... okay, my money is important to me, and spending a bunch of it on gas to get to the grocery store isn't my idea of frugality. So I will gaze on them from afar, and occasionally ride in my friend's Jeep.

Ahh, thanks. Actually, parking kinda sucked on the day we were there; it was at Christmas. We found a decent spot and walked round the whole thing, ourselves.

It amazes me all the bashing on SUV's. That 3rd row is nice to have when you have to pick up 5-6 kids from school because you are the neighborhood carpool.
Or for once, when the inlaws came for their 2month annual visit, we didn't have to take 2 cars everywhere.
But you can do the same thing with a minivan, which will seat as many people, generally gets better gas mileage, and has a much better safety record than most SUVs (particularly for passengers).

Not criticizing your choice of vehicle - it is just that, your choice - pointing out that there is another viable option out there.
