What the Moderator cut: language is wrong with some men? Do they have such small genitals that they have to go out and hunt a soon-to-be-extinct species for "SPORT"? For PLEASURE? Seriously, thisModerator cut: languageup. Throughout American literature, from Jefferson through Melville through Fenimore Cooper through John Muir, Americans have been warned not to disrespect Nature, to take only what they need for survival, that taking anything beyond is immoral.

Disgusting abuse of Nature. People who kill for pleasure are deranged Moderator cut: language.

Why are there so many ignorant people that can't make a valid arguement or engage in a debate and focus on insults involving genetalia? Sticks and stones, child.

Nothing childish about it. Men who have to go out and kill for pleasure have a serious problem with their manhood. Guess you're one of them.

If they feel the need to kill something then send them down to south Louisiana to help us kill nutria rat Coypu - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Coypu were introduced to Louisiana in the 1930s for fur, for example, and nutria damage in Louisiana became so severe that in 2005, a bounty program was in effect to aid in controlling the animal.[9]

Hunting of Polar Bears is safe, legal and rare. We aim to keep it that way. We certainly don't want to force hunters to seek back alley game the way they had to in the dark ages before the hunts were legalized. Since it is not a viable human, it is a completely private matter between a hunter and his guide. You should really mind your own business.

And none of that global warming ice sheet garbage, we all know that myth has been busted.

Oops, I thought this was another Sarah Palin thread after her crime of helicopter shooting of wildlife in Alaska earlier this week.

Whatever you want.
Whats the big deal? Regulated hunting is the best thing that ever happened to wildlife in America.

I think that some folks feel the need to bring manliness into it because they have issues they are unwilling to admit.

I have no desire to hunt a polar bear but if I lived closer to their habitat & I could afford it I would.

I would suggest some equipment restrictions on "sport" bear hunting. This would include requiring the hunter to have snow shoes and warm clothing. Mechanical transport, airplanes and snowmobiles, would be prohibited although dog drawn sleds would be allowed. Weapons would be limited to a boar spear. No projectile weapons allowed even for the guide. Now that would be sport.

Sport is when both sides have a equal chance at victory. This is not sport.
