How can it be possible to disagree with something someone has no more control over than their sex, race, parents, or birthplace?

These things are not a matter for disagreement any more than sexual orientation. If you disagree, you disagree with their Creator.

If sexual preference is a choice, that means that you can will yourself to be attracted to members of either sex of both.

Is that true in your case? If you are straight can you make yourself be attracted to others of your own sex?
