Default Political Pundits

Some of those I've never heard of!

Missing are:
  • John Gibson (very good to excellent)
  • Dick Morris (very good to excellent)
  • Neal Cavuto (excellent)
  • Fred Barnes (very good to excellent)
  • Charles Krauthammer (excellent)
Many other good ones. I guess you can't list everyone, but at least all of the "top dogs" should have been listed.

Jim Leher and David Gergen for their level-headed positions on all issues. I'd trust either of them to make the correct analysis of most any issue.

And, not on the list but surely one of the bravest political observers out there is Amy Goodman of Link TV's Democracy Now. She tells us the inside, lurking under-the-surface stuff we might not want to know. She's my heroine.

I have a bit of Political ADD, and watch/listen/read on a catch as catch can basis. But these are the ones that I enjoy the most.
I would put Laura Ingraham on the list though....she is much too republican for my taste but she is still a very smart woman (and funny).

I have to admit I did vote for Alan Colmes only because I felt badly noone else had voted for him...

Got to go with Chris matthews. He never lets anybody off the hook. That Gergen guy is good when I want unslanted punditry. Bill Maher is great for laughs.

Can't stomach anybody on Foxnews or Rush.

Does having a crush on Rachel Maddow count? Don't know if she's a favorite, but she's crush-worthy for sure.

Honestly, I haven't watched any of the others as much as I've watched Stewart or Colbert, and I count on them to make me laugh, not inform me/persuade me.

I like what I've seen of Olberman, though. But that amounts to about two or three episodes of his show.

I totally understand why people would hate Keith Olbermann. He's very polarizing, like O'Reilly and Hannity. I like to watch his show, and I agree with many of his stances, but I do think he's full of himself sometimes.

Do you "hate" Rachel Maddow because she's a lesbian, or did you just feel the need to include that irrelevant description of her in an attempt to paint her in what you apparently perceive to be a derogatory light? Just wondering...

Personally, I think Rachel Maddow is great. A graduate of Stanford and Oxford Universities, and a Rhodes Scholar recipient...she's obviously intelligent. I like her unoffensive way of reporting. She's entertaining, but not over the top. She seems fairly humble, too, which is a refreshing change. Just my opinion...
