We've already established that it was flight 11 that was the first to hit the WTC. The original rumor stated that this was the tail number, not the flight number. Even that was wrong, though. The tail number was N334AA. (8/16)
So much for the numerology based conspiracy theory. Out of all the amazing coincidences cited, which were all cherry-picked to build the conspiracy (why count the number of people on one flight but not another? Why not pick other attacks outside 9/11 besides Madrid? etc.), only half of them were correct. Maybe slightly more than that if you look past the middle initial problem in Bush's name equalling eleven characters.
The next time you get a stupid e-mail like this, you might want to fact-check it before pasting it onto a popular message forum. You make yourself look kind of silly.
On a side note, the 'wingdings' rumor was floated right after 9/11. A tech news site,
The Register, even made a T-shirt poking fun at it - I bought one, of course
and still have it...
