...Portia is an actress. She was on Ally McBeal, Nip/Tuck, voted this or that magazine's most sexy woman, etc.
I never saw her on either of those, but she's part of why Arrested Development is one of my favorite shows. She's hilarious in it, as is Jason Bateman. Really, the whole cast is fantastic. And only three seasons...sucked that they canceled it that soon.

Amen. We should have a constitutional amendment to allow gays and lesbians to marry. BUT, divorce is sacred and therefore should only be allowed among heteros...
All the cheers and congratulations in this thread bug me as much as the people who say the whole thing is "gross." They're both overblown reactions.
We'll know we've made real progress when people don't complain about something like this AND when we don't throw out our arms patting ourselves on the back, gushing about how wonderful this is. When it merits no more than a shrug, becuase it's the most ordinary thing in the world ... that's when we've taken a big step.
