I live in Massachusetts, and I don't understand why anybody cares if I marry a man or a woman - they don't even know me, and won't be invited to the wedding!
The Supreme Court of Massachusetts, or the U.S. Supreme Court, or any other for that matter, has to protect minorities.
I just don't think the majority should vote on the rights of a minority. Gays marrying does not affect anyone else, except the couple and their friends/family. My goodness, no one would even KNOW about it, unless you're at the wedding! I don't know how that would affect straight marriages??!
Anyway, we've seen in Massachusetts that no one seems to care after we got the right to marry for gays, so why keep harping on it, trying to get a vote? People should be more concerned about the war in Iraq, or the Russians, or the economy, or whatever.
I won't vote on your rights, if you don't vote on mine.
