What did I say..
"WASHINGTON - A U.S. Army program in which soldiers pay cash to Iraqis to help with expenses, large and small, has spent $2.8 billion in five years,
The Washington Post reported Monday."
This is not all we've spent on pay-offs and bribes, take that to the bank.
..but it's for our e-l-e-c-t-i-v-e war, so that's OK - no? Heaven forbid we spend more on badly underfunded social welfare programs here at home. The anti-tax zealots will emerge as usual frothing at the mouth and shouting "commie socialists!"
*note - just reread Sam Harris's book "Letter to a Christian Nation." Recommended read. Are you listening Mr.Rapture? Time to come home from Beijing after watching the redeem team and get to work on saving our unraveling world.
