Tyson Foods has become the latest company to shutter its Chicago-area offices in response to rampant crime seen under progressive Mayor Lori Lightfoot, joining Boeing, Caterpillar, and several others to turn tail and flee

The chicken giant made the bombshell announcement Wednesday, revealing it’s bringing together its corporate employees at its global headquarters in Arkansas, and closing down three of its offices, including one in Downtown Chicago.

The Boeing CEO stated the reason they left Chicago was empty office space. I.e. to save money. That seems a more likely reason, knowing how Boeing has become a bean counter company.

Perhaps a partial reason, but you've got to figure the skyrocketing crime rate is going to be a factor for any employer who has the wherewithal to move to a safer area.

It’s called reading between the lines.

Ofcourse they’re not going to outright say violent crime is the reason the left.

Its not as if every part of Chicago is crime ridden. The nice areas are for the most part safe. The wealthy and large corporations that live there can afford security.

Chicago has always been this way. High crime has existed in the lower income areas since Ms O'Leary's cow tipped over an oil lamp. The rich have for the most part had it nice.

This current crime wave is pretty new. It will likely pass and prove to be a fad.

How is it going to be a factor for a multi-billion dollar manufacturing company? It's not like they have a retail presence, outside of their gift shops. No, you need to show some actual evidence rather than making stuff up.

It doesn't have to be, anyone can be a victim of crime when it's just down the street.

Criminals have cars too.

Go to LA's Rodeo Drive with an expensive watch, sit outside on a patio restaurant, and see if you don't get robbed in broad daylight.
