Just a question for you, and then I'll leave the subject alone.
In my post I said "countries" and in your answer you said "companies". You are right, just as you said it. There is no law against most companies doing business with Russia, since the boycotts are voluntary.
Did you mean it as you wrote it?

Military experts think the war has gone on longer than Russia expected. Get a clue.

Not nice, but why the double standard?

I would give $100 for one of those Russian passports showing a citizen of Kherson is a Russian citizen. It may become a collector's item for my grand daughter.
I want 30' of red/brown oxidized steel treads from a burned out T90 tank to use as a walking path from the house to the pool. Must be accompanied by a certificate stating it was destroyed by a Javelin ATGM. I would pay several G for that memento.

Well, the Russians certainly screwed the pooch on that one.

It will be at least two generations before Ukraine will cease to be hostile towards Russia, and that all depends on if Russians change their evil ways.

If they continue to behave like they have this year, who knows when they'll ever have a neighboring nation that doesn't treat them with anything but disgust.

I meant to say companies. The way I wrote the sentence regarding using 'specializing' it wouldn't make sense to say countries. Regarding countries, I do think quite a few will hold their nose and toe the line for now...while looking the other way when they can. I linked upthread even US companies will dance around sanctions if there is enough money in it.

Most companies are not sanctioned. They can do all the business they wish with Russia. No law against it.
That's what stunned the Russians. They saw the sanctions coming, but never saw the boycotts coming. Over 1200 companies have simply walked away, but some stayed.
