IMO, if you are too error, error on the side of caution.
I agree, greatday. To NOT "err on the side of caution" would/could be calamitous.

I guess THAT spin helps explain the popularity of FAUX News.

AND why many apparently equate HAS WMDs with HAD WMDs
What of the other two news outlets posted, were THEIR headlines okay???

Of course, they headlined what happened without adding a side of fear-mongering.

This is an Associated Press story. Where's the beef? Why blame Fox, CNN etc. Blame AP.

The title is what we are discussing. I'm pretty sure that the title is not fixed by the AP.

The Associated Press: Swedish nuclear plant sealed off due to bomb scare

vs. news-atainment MSNBC

2 held over explosives at Sweden nuke plant - Europe - MSNBC.com

Both are AP articles. Note Bomb "scare" as opposed to 2 held over explosives.

News-atainment for the uneducated sheeple.

That's what happened, isn't it, why should there be a problem with reporting facts?

According to the stories nobody was arrested WITH EXPLOSIVES as the first headline read, that's what I object to.

And if you don't see the difference between with something and traces how about:

Two sealed rooms, one filled WITH gasoline vapors and one having traces of gasoline vapors, which one you want to enter carrying an ignition source?

Or, assuming you carry a normal assortment of bills would you like to be featured in a headline as "MAN FOUND WITH COCAINE"?

Oh goodie. My favorite internet stalker. You should get out once in a while.

To address your statement, just like a bomb "scare" is called in as a hoax all the time. Go, prank calls about a bomb means there's a bomb as well? Traces of cocaine in dollars means that people with cash are drug dealers?

Yessir, comrade Stalin!
