Covid conspiracies are crazy, as well as belief in ghosts, global warming, luck, astrology, herbal medicines, magic, space aliens, "the iluminati", medical benefits of pot, etc...........
Unfortunately, hard data, math, and science are out of "vogue" now and emotion and conspiracy theories rule the day.
We really do not know about the space aliens just yet. In a universe as big as ours, it certainly does not seem likely that we are the only intelligent life in it.
This is why I am perplexed on why the pneumonia vaccine booster isn't being promoted right now.
You are correct in that L-Lysine is more important in prevention but it cannot hurt to add now.
There are different types of pneumonia, it isn't just one illness. It can be bacterial, viral, or a few other causes. A variety of different viruses and bacteria can cause it.
At the moment, there are vaccines being promoted to prevent this. You may have heard about them. There are three that have been authorized for use in the US, and they are produced by Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson.
That makes absolutely no sense. The prices for amino acid supplements that you are proposing are much, much higher than vaccine prices.
The vaccine costs under $20 per dose.. So a full course of vaccination costs about $40. Or, you can purchase $10 (cheapest I found on Amazon) bottles of your supplement, which comes to $60/year at their recommended dosage.
So the amino acid people have a vested interest in creating vaccine hesitancy, but vaccines are still cheaper.
Plus, we have not yet seen clinical trials for the efficacy of your proposed alternative, so we do not know how effective it will be. We do know that the various vaccines are highly effective, about 95%
And you have seen completed in vivo trials, phase three, on humans, long term, for vaccines? Got links to that? No? As they do not exist, right? You do realize that MRN vaccines were NEVER before used on humans, only on animals? You do know that?
The establishment Democrat left and the pharmaceutical companies do not like this kind of talk. How are they going to use this virus to enrich themselves and to impose themselves in dominating fashion over the people, if the people can free themselves from this tyranny, without help from either of these two groups, for $15 worth of amino acid supplements?
These are some of the same self-referring ad nostrums that made Prevention Magazine so popular. They can't hurt except your pocket book, and that's the end of that!
I already take this to prevent cold sores . Good to know!
I found a power herb as well that works well against virus's called Cistus Incanus. You can get the tea . A lot of people drink it for lyme disease. It prevent the virus from replicating. Check it out.
Lysine benefits are irrelevant to this conversation. Lysine has not been shown to be clinically effective (so you are not following the science) against COVID-19, therefore it is of dubious benefit. It would be much more beneficial to take the vaccine which has been shown, through clinical trials (yes, that is following the science) to be very, very effective.
Neither has the vaccine. There is no vaccine that prevents Covid. The 'vaccines' out there do not say that they will prevent Covid. They aren't even based on an isolated virus sample. In fact, there has been no proof of anyone isolating the virus.
You 'may' not get it, (just like you may not get it without the vaccine). You can also still get it, and you might have mild symptoms, or you might also die, just like without the vaccine.
Pneumonia caused by bacteria requires a pneumococcal vaccine. Pneumonia caused by cytokine storms incited by Covid-19 requires corticosteroids.
L-Lysine doesn't work for common cold and shingles. The problem is that people are very ill develop vitamin and mineral depletion and people jump to the conclusion that there was a deficiency before the illness. Most people don't have a deficiency. L-argnine, vitamin C, vitamin D, zinc, and others have been tried before.

The pneumonia vaccine is for primary prevention of pneumococcal pneumonia. The pneumonia with Covid is viral, plus in many cases secondary bacterial pneumonia. That secondary pneumonia could be pneumococcal, but also many other bacterial types and possibilities. And by then with Covid 19 the patient is typically already covered with broad spectrum antibiotics.
Your pneumonia vaccine should be kept up to date regardless of the Pandemic.

So, no, you're not 'following the science'.
The virus causing Covid 19 has very definitely been isolated and identified. How the heck would anyone know about the variants?
