So he didn’t break any laws, he married the girl, and this was over 40 years ago. I’m failing to see what people are outraged about. Is it because he didn’t have the child aborted?

This time, it is GOP primary candidate, Anthony Bouchard, who wants to run against Liz Cheney. Now I thought that the Republican party was the party of higher moral standards, at least they claim so, but seriously....what bothers me is his ho-hum response "Everyone's done this"

I can hardly keep a straight face when I sit here and type that I never did that, I never had sex with girls under 18 once I turned 18, then again, I had a moral compass, and a respect for the laws of consent
Oh Wait I'm a democrat

I find it sad that our nation cannot find better candidates, with a population of some 200 million Americans of age to run for office, and this is the best we can find? \\No wonder politics is such a disaster in this country.

It is a shame CATS cannot run for office.
The man tried to right a wrong and married her. She committed suicide over another failed relationship. I see this as a young kid who made a mistake..One cannot put an old head on young shoulders.

He was on his own at fifteen. Not the best of circumstances. If he was a democrat I would say the same. Many children are drug up and not brought up.

Wyoming's one House seat is more work for less money than a Senate seat.

This nation is built on the concepts of Christianity and that means forgiveness.

Just another "the left can go back as many years as they want on the right" but don't you dare go back more than a few years for anyone on the left, it means nothing that's old stuff....but if you're a repub....from the time you're born it's on. And the OP talks about taking the high road and morals of the left....

This story is no big deal but whoever runs against Cheney needs to be very carefully vetted. We don't need her sneaking back in to congress because they knocked her competition out with a scandal. The Cheney name is about Deep State as you can get and a lot of resources will be used to dig up(or create if necessary) scandals on anyone who dares to primary her.

It sounds like that’s what he has done.

Unless there is something more here, this is not a story to be outraged over. Try again.
Why worry about something like this. I mean Obama smoked DOPE in high school for crying out loud.

Going out with a girl that is 4 years younger at that age is a very big deal, rarely did anyone 18 go beyond a year or 2.

So what would the girls age be that would be going to far, 13, 12, 11?
