Former HFPA president Philip Berk was ousted from the organization after forwarding an email that described Black Lives Matter as a "hate group."

The crux I suspect. Let's not stop with HFPA either, any group of people given special status will become corrupt. The media, hollywood, and DC included. None of them should have special status and should only exist by the will of the people...and be grateful for it.
