It's Kansas. If he's not protected by prison bars, I think some outraged parent could ambush him.
If not beaten up, then possibly shot.
There are fathers who would do that after their son came home from school with bruised testacles.
There are mothers who would do that. There are parents who would do that after their daughter told them what had just happened in class.
The idiot doesn't even realize yet that he just ruined his life.
If he isn't mugged, he will be sued for sure, and end up penniless. His school district will be sued. He'll be booted out of the State Legislature.
He will spend the rest of his life trying to live it down. He may have to move away to another town or state.
If the district didn't give him a basic set of rules to follow, either in a meeting or on paper, it's in big, big trouble.
No teacher can do what he did and avoid the consequences.
Substitutes sometimes do and say things to students that can get them in trouble.
I was a substitute teacher for a few months years ago, briefly, in between jobs. I was given a short set of behavior rules I must not do, period, during my first meeting with a principal.
I was also given an instruction sheet that repeated those rules to bring with me to my classes.
I had to sign a form that said I would abide by the rules. If I broke them, the school would call the cops on me.
It was standard policy for all schools state-wide.
So Mark Samsel is in far bigger trouble than the school will ever be. He broke just about every rule that was possible to break.
