The GOP prevented nothing. Obama nominated a Supreme Court justice without problem. Then the Senate - as the Constitution dictates - indicated that they did not consent.

Why waste everyone's time? If he's going to appoint a commission to examine it, then it means that he's already decided that he's going to do it. Just be done with it so that we can all get on with our lives in the new country of whatever-it-is that he's going to call it. It sure as heck isn't America anymore.

I wish the Christian Right were as powerful as you seem to think it is. The country would be much better off under a conservative Christian influence than it is under the sway of the liberal wokesters.
