More people voted early in Travis County Texas than voted in the entire 2016 elections.

My husband and I voted early and we voted for Trump. The same for our Trump supporting relatives.

And how do you know it's not people that are "P'd off" over being put out of work by the shutdowns?

I don't think large number of early voting inevitably means a Biden victory. With COVID, mail in voting is avialbke in many more places than it was in 2016 so that in and of itself accounts for a large portion of the difference. What I am hoping is that it means we will have an overall record turnout this year. The higher the percentage of eligible voters that vote the more the result will reflect the real choices of peiople, which I think will strngthen the mandate of whoevr ebds up winning. We need that right now regardless of the outcome.

I think people people simply heeded the warnings from the US Postal Service and returned their ballots fairly quickly or opted to vote in person early to avoid larger crowds closer to election day.

Dems are in charge of the many states that shut down, so yes.....we can blame them. We also blame that idiot Dem governor for importing the virus directly into nursing homes. (Mode of Transmission - old infected people.)
