One of my close relatives graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Notre Dame, and then from Notre Dame's law school, but he didn't graduate first in his class, as Justice Barrett did .
What is “court stacking”? The senate filled an open seat with a well qualified judge who will uphold the laws passed by the legislature as written, and respect precedent. The Democrats tried to fill a seat during the last lame duck session, they’re the ones who made this possible by ending the filibuster for judges. For the better part of the last century we’ve had a Supreme Court where the majority was nominated by Democrat presidents, we’ve also mostly had a republican led senate. This is politics it goes back and forth. Filling an open seat isn’t stacking.
In this case it is. But using that particular word just reveals the whininess of the people who don't like the result.
