You also forgot the parade in New York City the Mondale campaign set up after Geraldine was picked was very lacking in voters. They rode in a car together waving at a spares crowd
Lol..Biden is a helluva lot more coherent than Reagan was.
in 1984?
What you've done here is a classic "confirmation bias". You want something to be so, and so you've searched back 36 years for something "similar" - that is, a candidate behind in the polls who managed to get a large rally ... in NYC, the neighborhood of his VP candidate who happened to be the first-ever woman on a ticket.
We will find out who the POTUS is here in about 1 month - and have no doubts we won't know for anywhere from 2-10 days after Election Day. I suppose we'll find out numbers of mailed vs returned absentee ballots as we get closer to Election Day and maybe the next day. If CA is 300K+ Biden and 20% of 100K absentee ballots haven't been received, it won't matter. But in many states it will.
Weird, indeed. Mondale was an American and a patriot and a veteran. Trump is simply Trump.
I haven't paid any attention to Trump in a few months. He is just a 'has been' and a waste of human flesh. The truth of his ruinous policies and constant lies is more apparent every day, even for former supporters. Mondale was an honest and sincere man, unlike Trump. He was a good VP. His task, to defeat Reagan, was crippled because of the foolish devotion that many Democrats felt for their imagined perception of Reagan. It was an uphill battle and Reagan was teflon and not seriously challenged by the media until the Iran-Contra scandal that came in the 2nd term. Reagan really was mentally impaired with early dementia. He wasn't helped by Nancy's obsession with astrology. Mondale was a stable, religious, middle-class, American centrist. Of the two, he probably resembled Biden much more than Trump.

If Mondale was all the things you claim, why didn't he win?
Why did Reagan go on to an even bigger win in 1984?
If you are too young to remember why Reagan won such a landslide victory in 1984, it's because he delivered on his promises.
Mondale lost in 1980 because we were afraid he would deliver on his promises.
Reading these old threads reminds you of how arrogant and insufferable Trump supporters were before the election. They were 100% confident of him winning and trolled anyone who didnt agree and now they cry election fraud. Trump was a loser who came in 2nd place twice and his presidency was nothing but a fart in the wind
