Maybe he really doesn't plan to pack the court but would use this as a negotiating tactic with congress to get other things done, such as get the infrastructure bill signed or get congress to agree to fix ACA. Why reveal his hand if he can use his hand to his advantage when negotiating with congress. This would make him a smart negotiator.

Maybe Biden is hiding his Supreme Court plan behind Trump's tax returns and health care plan.

There’s no excuse. None. This shows his elitist disdain for the American people and for their rights, well-being and their right to an informed vote. He is an illegitimate candidate who hid in his basement and now is hiding his intentions. He’s gonna lose and this will help him lose.

Or maybe, as he said, he doesn't think the voters deserve to know.

Probably cause it’s not Biden that packs the court.

Democrats would need the house and senate too and it’d come from there.

Court packing only works if the president goes along with it. He needs to sign or veto the bill and then he picks the justices.

Then why doesn't Kamala and Biden say they would veto packing the Court?

What is he hiding? Jonathan Turley is a liberal Democrat who has said he may not vote for Biden if he would pack the court.
Anybody who is a liberal and not a totalitarian progressive should be horrified by the actions of the FBI, CIA and Obama administration. What they did was far worse than Watergate.

https://thehill.com/opinion/judiciar...of-truman-show

"...That is a truly alarming position for a candidate to take. Court packing is widely viewed as threatening to destroy a foundational institution in our constitutional system. Yet Biden refuses to say whether he would take a hatchet to the Supreme Court of the last two centuries. But the future of the judicial branch is just one issue left on layaway.

As news emerged that United States Attorney John Durham uncovered some serious and possibly criminal conduct in the Russia investigation, Democrats demanded that he not release his report before the election...."

Leave their options open.

I don’t think Biden would be for it unless the courts stonewall like they did... I think it was Roosevelt? The one that tried it in early 1900s.

I’m still on the fence too about their chances of taking senate so for now it’s a moot point.

And either way, court packing is nothing new with I believe twenty bills written to try it around the country in the last decade, majority by republicans.

Biden doesn't give a flying fig about Republicans. He's trying to straddle the fence for Democrat voters so they don't find out if he's a full tilt nutso progressive or a Jurassic Park liberal fossil. He can't afford not to get either side's vote so he just clams up knowing the in the tank media won't press him.

If I were him I'd be more worried about 80 year old Pelosi futzing around with the 25th amendment and old Arkancide who still hasn't come to terms with why she lost.
