Exactly. They've always been left, but only turned to propaganda in the last 12 years.
I don't know whether Obama scared them into kissing his feet by excluding those who didn't tow the line or if they just gradually shifted to propaganda. Then they abandoned all principles the last 4 years.
I remember a freshman English class in the 70s. TA asked us all to tell what our major was and why we chose it. Journalism major stood up and said she chose journalism because she wanted to manipulate people's opinions. It was chilling.
The problem is the mass media outlets are owned by rich people that are firm Democrats with a far Left agenda and they all hate Trump.
The media has waged an all out war on Trump since day one. The media forms public opinion and it is all negative. The media did the opposite when reporting on all things Obama.

the MSM talks about Trump saying that the KKK is fine people and they know in that statement Trump denounced the KKK and Antifa and went on to say that the regular Americans whether democrat or republican that were attending the park were fine people who protested peacefully who were exercising their Constitutional rights to demonstrate. this is how the left operates with no truth at all. This is why I see it as fake news because I dig deeper.
I was just reading a detailed article on how the mainstream media are being abused by secret services and fake NGOs to spread propaganda and lies. In this case it is about the anti-Syrian propaganda, but it applies to China and other cases as well, of course. The article is based on secret documents that were stolen by hackers from the British government and intelligence community.

A healthy bit of skepticism in evaluating any media coverage is a good thing. A good story covers the "5 Ws" thoroughly and accurately. The greatest risk for bias is in the last "W", the why.
Mainstream media typically does a good job with the first 4 "Ws" but the 5th "W", the "why", is much more subject to personal biases in how it's reported and the perspective of the reporter and their bosses. That would also be the case if you add the "how", which is subject at higher risk for the introduction of bias.
With that said, a bigger problem is when people get frustrated with that, usually because the mainstream media isn't part of the echo chamber they're comfortable in, and turn to media that doesn't even cover the other 4 "Ws" properly and can't even get the most basic facts correct or purposefully misrepresent them.
Sounds to me like I should REALLY trust the media entirely then.
