I think it will certainly remove an important focal point. However if that focal point is female and/or a minority the over dependence of the Trump smear tactic may really come to haunt them. This is what is plaguing them with SCOTUS.
The power of the media to create the Trump racist hoax was really impressive however. Look at anything prior to 2016 and there is nothing there. Womanizing , sure. He likes the ladies. But the Trump racist and Russia hoax really mentally enslaved quite a few. If they can find a ***** in the armor they they will able to put 25% of complete nitwits in their pocket every time. I would be curious to see how they would smear a female minority populist..
His father was arrested in full KKK regalia in a Klan protest in the 20s. And the Trumos were sued by the Justice Department for refusing to rent to black families. So, no, there is nothing new about the Trumps being accused of racism, nor is it a case of people's minds being enslaved by the media.
You seem to have made an error in leaving out the two most evil and hateful clowns named Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer. They are the ones with an agenda to destroy America at all costs. Talk about two disrespectful embarrassments.
Destroy America at all costs...with what? Access to health care that people in literally every other wealthy democracy in the world has? Consumer protections? Environmental protections? By taking action to combat global warming? Forcing bad apples in law enforcenent to obey the law...and the non-bad apples in that field to actually take action against them?
So Biden is currently leading Trump in the polls by +7.2 on RCP and +7.9 on FiveThirtyEight.
Caution here of course, Hillary Clinton also lead by +7.1 on RCP on October 18th, 3 weeks before the election and manage to screw it up, so Trump could still definitely win, but the flip side to this is Biden could win by a landslide (8+ points, 350+ Electoral Votes), both scenarios are still possible.
But if the latter scenario did play out and Trump did lose in a huge landslide, what would be the repercussions be for Trumpism/Nationalism/Populism? Could it still have a future in the US?
The argument was if Trump lost narrowly (less than 5 points) somebody with more political acumen and discipline could take it up repackage it into a more electable form in 2024 etc.
But if Trump loses lopsidedly, does that effectively end that wing of the party? Or at least badly damage it to the point where they'll find it difficult to nominate a candidate with likeminded views in 2024?
On the other hand, as more and more blacks decide to vote for TRUMP, while still being black, what will that do to the socialist Democrat Party? In effect, Biden called blacks stupid if they don't vote for him! Like blacks can't think for themselves? Or make their own decisions? "Come on, Man!" Biden is senile, and a CAREER POLITICIAN! Dump him, he needs to retire, for sure!
National polls are meaningless, but populism is not dead, its.......popular. Politicians like Trump telling people what they want to hear will never be out of fashion. See how fast Republicans abandoned conservative principles and embraced Trumpism? Next GOP candidate will probably try to re-sell conservatism, and then they'll pivot back to populism.

We will probably always have nationalism. DJT has just conflated it with hate and racism.

Essentially our founding fathers had populist attitudes which is why we decided to become independent in the first place.
Andrew Jackson would be considered a very heavy pro-nationalist president. After Andrew Jackson you had a string of presidents where it was cool to live poor and live in a log-cabin a very anti-establishment/anti-elite string there.
Whenever the conclusion of the Trump phase because it won't last forever we will probably shy away from populism/nationalism a bit but eventually we will probably come back to it.
Trump will not lose in a landslide (meaning that he will get less than 40% of the popular vote and will win in less than 25 states), unless he is either very sick or dead, so I think liberals need to wait at least another four years to declare that the Republican Party as we know it now or any kind of patriotic party, is dead.
However, that being said, I do think that those who want to end the mostly conservative (by today's standards), mostly white, and mostly Christian dominance in the U.S. will win, and that this situation will last to the end of humans on earth, and that it will take place in 12 years, at the latest -- and I also think that regarding the spending that the liberals want, that they will learn that it is not good for anyone to keep giving out handouts, and that it is better for everyone if every person who CAN work does so. (But, unfortunately, I think the U.S. will be in for some very hard times before Democrats -- or whatever group comes to power -- learn this.)
