I think if Trump loses significantly, the left actually will have a resurge of patriotism and pride in our country.
As it is, it's embarrassing for all but the far right to have this clown as our president, and I think there will be a resurgence of Americanism in the center and close center left if we don't have this man representing us to the world.
He's conscripted not only our christianity and stuck his ugly brand on it, but also our flag, and made it a hateful gesture to fly the stars and stripes.

Trump has changed the republican party and candidates for the forseeable future no matter what . If you look at a list of candidates for 24 most will carry on some of Trumps repositioning of the party. Nicki Haley , Tom Cotton , Ron Desantis, Ted Cruz, Kristi Noem and on. Ofcourse you are going to have those Mitt Romney , John Kasichs but they will not be a factor.
Romney and many of the rest of the establishment Republicans were little different than establishment Dems. Both were beholden to those with deep pockets. Both did nothing about jobs being outsourced to China and across the world-hey, the corporate donors were happy, they didn't have to actually make anything. The same "fat cats" to use an old term, want cheap foreign criminals to work for them-both to do the work cheaper, and to depress wages for any remaining American workers. The owners of "big pharma" are happy to donate to both establishment Ds and Rs that refused to allow Americans to purchase drugs for the same price as those in other countries.
Trump upset that apple cart. He is the first president in my lifetime to actually do a thing to help American workers. To do so while earning the ire of the establishment of both parties. And particularly that of the MSM. I think the MSM has figured out something-that Trump has taken the place of the "old school" Democratic party as the national leader doing something for American workers.

The "squad" has upset the "establishment" Democrats with a similar hard yank to embrace globalism, violence and Communism.

This is why I believe that if Trump can't find a way to win, then the system no longer represents the interests of the average citizen and we ought to split up the country.
If Biden cheats and gets in the dems will pack the court, get rid of the electoral voting system, make 3 territories states for the senate votes , take over the house and senate and we would become a one party system in a very short time. I have seen this for years now as I know what their mission is since this is the Obama transformation into Communism.
It is a slow osmosis type of take over. The media is almost totalitarian with a one message system and with help from the social media it will happen.Once Biden gets full power the internet giants will not allow anyone to speak freely. Just as in the communist countries the ruling class will have all the power and if you dare not like what that system is , you will be jailed for speaking out. They will track you down remove you from your home and never to be seen again.
You may think this is far fetched but look around the world. This is the reality in Communist China and many other countries. It is your reality if the democrats get in power . They don't want this system any longer. They will not work with the other side or the president. The democrats want full power and anyone who votes for Biden will regret their stupidity in not knowing what they did. It will be too late to undo what they have done. Most of us conservatives are never going back to tolerating RINOs. If the RNC puts up another RINO (like Bush, McCain, Romney, ect) republicans will not show up and they will lose big. We wont send money to the RNC anymore and just send to individual candidates. If the RNC serves up a RINO, they will lose in a landslide.
Dems, on the other hand, continue to accept HORRIBLE candidates and just tuck their tails between their legs and accept what the DNC gives them. Look at this election- no one in their right mind would call Biden a good candidate.
But if they lose big here then surely it would prove Trumpism no longer has a viable pathway to 270 electoral votes?
They need to expand their base appealing to more latino's, millennials, women etc, Trumpism is not doing that.
I do believe we accomplished what we hoped, will prevent politicians from taking our votes for granted. It also proved the power of social media. Look at the crazy Trump haters on this forum alone. They have lost all touch with what is important in life in lieu of what they read on their phone.
