A 30 round mag is nice when I hunt rabbits. I don't have to take my gloves off in the cold to reload. I don't even have to carry any ammo in my pocket. Also great when target shooting.

No one needs a 60 inch television either. But as an aside, a 30 round mag puts you on a slightly better footing to defend yourself which is what the 2nd protects.
