Kind of like the economy in 2017 when everything was still full steam ahead.

Oh? You must be part of the THIRTEEN PERCENT that approves of Congress.

That's right, only 13% approve of US Congress. What a freaking embarrassment. Democrat controlled, now, as well.

I think Trump's approval rating is a little higher than that.

Just goes to show that he cares more about those out of work than spoiled Pelosi does....politically it's a win for Trump, although I'd rather see all those bearocratsfired and just pay the security services except the bloated unnecessary TSA.

Congressional leaders and President Trump have reached a tentative deal to temporarily reopen the government and continue talks on Trump’s demand for border wall money, Capitol Hill officials said Friday.

With Trump’s approval, the pact would reopen shuttered government departments for the three weeks while leaving the issue of $5.7 billion for the U.S.-Mexico border wall to further talks.

The officials spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss private deliberations.

The White House announced that Trump would speak from the Rose Garden of the White House at 1:30 p.m. The officials said the tentative deal was subject to change until announced by Trump.

Trump, Congress Reach Tentative Deal to Reopen Government for Three Weeks

Quote:
WASHINGTON—President Trump and congressional leaders have reached a tentative deal to reopen the government for three weeks while negotiations over border security funding continue, according to congressional aides.

The White House said Mr. Trump would make remarks shortly about the shutdown.
Quote:
The deal wouldn’t provide immediate funding for a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, administration officials said.

It wasn’t clear what the framework for border-security discussions in the next three weeks would look like.

The move would amount to at least a temporary concession by Mr. Trump to Democrats, as it would provide no immediate funding for a border wall.

Must have announced it on CNN, MSNBC, NYT, ABC, NBC or CBS. Or of course, WaPo.

Here's what he is doing. He is okaying a temporary opening, so he can have his big man SOTU speech that is more important to him than anyone's life in this country.

After Donny's has his moment in the sun, which will most likely have low ratings from the boycott and be a bust anyhow, and then he will go to Maralago to golf because poor boy has been working so hard watching Fox News.

In three weeks, when it's time to negotiate--he'll go right back to his stupid stance, and I really hope the Dems don't fall for his lies. But I really do hope that during his speech some brave soul yells out "You Lie!"
