To be fair, making Pence look like an idiot is not all that difficult.

But why would the Republicans want to be in that boat?

Gov workers not being paid can take comfort (sar) knowing their financial struggles are helping Democrats help illegals, who will steal US citizens identities and undercut US wages.

My goodness; at it again, I see. I know of nobody taking comfort in not getting paid for jobs they would rather be doing the past three weeks.
I encourage you to go to USAJOBS and apply if you think it’s so grand. Otherwise, no need to spend Saturday bitter and snarky.

Why should Saturday be any different than any other day of the week?

just accurately assessed what Dems are protecting, while they throw govt staff under the bus.

Illegals above citizens = Democrat's M.O.

I personally do not care how long the shutdown lasts. I do care about enhancing border security to keep illegals OUT, where they belong.

If they had done so instead of erecting flimsy fences we wouldn't be having this discussion today. The see through steel slatted barriers that the Border Patrol would rather have today are still the equivalency of the double barriers that congress initially promised back in 2006 as far as their effectiveness goes. So no need to keep repeating yourself anymore.

It looks like the lobbyists in the defense sector are now crying foul.
If we keep the government shutdown for a year, it will hurt those who have the most to lose.

US government shutdown creating angst for defense contractors

The defense department should not have been funded for 2019.
That is one sector that should be punished along with everyone else.

The Defense Department is funded for fiscal 2019, with Congress having passed a spending bill for the new fiscal year in September. That means work on the military’s weapons programs continue apace, but many defense companies also hold contracts with agencies that are not currently funded,

You know, I wish the two families featured on our Midwest news channel last night could hear you say this to their faces.
One woman who got a small business loan, researched, and put everything she has in to her dream of a local coffee shop and cafe. She strategically picked a location outside the airport, next to a FSDO. She has lost 60% of her income and sent her employee home- her disabled veteran employee.
Or the young couple who just got on their feet since the husband got a forestry job. They live out, near his remote job site, where they can’t be “mystery shoppers or dog walkers”. They have no rich daddy to ask for money from, either.
But, sadly, I do realize this falls on deaf ears.
