Im seeing some people on FB saying it was an UZI, not a Glock handgun.
I imagine with all the chaos, people get confused on the type of gun they saw.
There is a distinct difference between an Uzi and a Glock handgun, not only in appearance, but how they fire. I know this for a fact because I've shot them both. I'd love to know who these people on FB are, because they have no clue what the hell they're talking about.

That is true, but people experiencing these kinds of incidents are more likely to mis-ID the gun too. Ive heard this personally from police investigating our stores robberies in the past, even though the gun is right in front of them, they mis-ID it more often than not, they under extreme stress and panic at the time, a revolver may look like an M16 to them (at the time).

I'm pretty sure that the police can identify the gun. Since the guy offed himself, it's not like they couldn't find the gun he used, and it was identified as a Glock. They are not going to mistake a Glock for an Uzi.

Right, police would not make that mistake, although Im not sure they would be truthful if it was another type of gun though, with the public anyway.
