LOL! Have you seen the commercials of all the Republican Senators/congresscritters now denying their votes on Obamacare? How they DEFINITELY wanted to remove the protections for pre-existing conditions?
NOW - they claim just the opposite. They deny their votes on record.

IF you remove the mandate - then you remove pre-existing conditions OR the insurance company is allowed to charge MUCH more for a person with a pre existing condition. It all goes hand in hand.
I honestly think that the caravan is a GOP funded event. Dems don't care one way or the other about them specifically. We hope their claims for asylum are investigated, heard fairly, and the outcome is inline with the laws of our nation.
A caravan of brown people heading for the border riles the entire GOP base up. You are all scared and/or angry about it. Its definitely timed for voting purposes. I assume they'll arrive at the border in the days right ahead of the midterms and the propaganda machine will be in full blast.

Mostly, I support DACA because those kids didn't come here on their own. Their parents brought them here and they don't know any other country. It's not their fault.
But I am against illegals and I hope they are deported. There may be a few legitimate asylum seeker in the caravan and they should be admitted. The rest can go back and even go and live in Mexico. Doesn't Mexico have a new president? Maybe he can get his act together and get these people assimilated and working. We don't need them here.
And yesterday I called both of my Democrat senators and reminded them--no illegals.
I disagree. These DACAs shouldn't benefit from their parent's law breaking and it would also reward their parents for bringing them here illegally. Many of them remember their country as most were brought here before the age of 6. They were also taught the culture and language of their homelands by their parents. The only fair thing to do would be to deport them and their parents and make them apply to come back legally while waiting their turn in line. We don't need 1.8 million DACAs competing for jobs and resources against Americans. It's bad enough that their parents have done so.
Obama added some degree of sense by implementing DACA and DAPA by EO and without congress' approval along with work permits for them? That makes sense to you?
Trump rejected the bill that would have given the DACAs a pass on our immigration laws because the Democrats wouldn't give him what he wanted and that was the funds to build the wall otherwise he would have gone along with it. Why should the Democrats only get what they wanted?
Yes treating the dreamers differently made sense, they didn't come here on their own. There is no plan to address the 10 million illegal immigrants, that will never change. Catching and deporting a few thousand immigrants every year doesn't accomplish anything.
Trump is good at destroying deals but not very good at creating them. He clearly stated that if there was a bipartisan plan he would sign it, then he changed his mind. So what's the plan outside of the wall, he is taking a more aggressive stance at deportations but that isn't addressing the problem.

Doesn't matter. They were brought here illegally by their parents so they shouldn't benefit from that. Many of them have reached 18 1/2 and are therefore responsible for their own status in our country.
Trump's bi-partisan plan included a certain amount of money to fund the wall. The Democrats refused it. They wanted it all their way or the highway. They wouldn't compromise. So that's why Trump wouldn't sign it. He didn't mean he'd sign it without giving him what he wanted as part of the deal. That would be stupid, wouldn't it? He gave the Democrats what they wanted and that was the DACAs. So where was the compromise?
Trump has reinstated the work place raids ended under Obama, he has e-verify in his 2019 budget, he is taking steps to secure our border with a wall and other measures and yes increasing deportations. Just what else do you want him to do? What are the Democrats doing to end this mess?
