Steel and aluminium are things we need for infrastructure ...when does grade school start back?
Soon I hope don't forget your crayons!
Which we had an ample supply of prior to tariffs and which if needed more, would have been made available at a better price than could be gotten here (minus the premium for an american flag)
One can only marvel at the economic genius of those who willingly pay more for the same goods that they have already been getting, and advocate for higher taxes on themselves.
It seems many don't understand basic economics and automation. Our manufacturing OUTPUT and our per capita GDP have been going UP, while the percentage of jobs in the field are going down.
What do people want....to turn off the robots and have more people doing repetitive tasks?
But the country succeeding is not the philosophy of the GOP or Tea Party, so maybe you are projecting?
By your logic, for 8 years of Obama's presidency, the conservatives wanted the country to fail?

I'm honestly starting to believe the party that espouses on the "free-market" literally does want to turn off the machines and go back to the 1950s...plus they could ban homosexuality and disenfranchise more minorities all the while crying about poor Alex Jones's hurt feelings in present day....
We used to lead through innovation, instead we have an administration and a large swath of the country who feel the way to shine is to bring back the 1950s. Where has Saint Ronnie Regan's (the man they all used to worship at the alter of until Daddy Trump came along) city upon a hill gone?
