I never knew the magnitude of the evacuation from the water during 9/11.

Yeah, I just saw this video myself a few weeks ago. Captures the beauty and strength of the American People.

The government doesn't want you to know or at the very least focus on the fact that 500K people can be safely evacuated from Manhattan to Jersey in less than 9 hours by regular individuals and their boats...and not by the government.

What on earth makes you think that?

Are you implying it's part of a gov't conspiracy to cover that up? That the US gov't doesn't want people to know a bunch of people with boats could move x amount of people from one area to another?

Some places crumble while others rise to the challenge. I have mad respect for the way the City of New York handled that crisis, and how the citizens of this country and the world came together for a while. It was a very scary time. Young people have no idea what it felt like after being attacked like that, and watching it in real time (or living it as the citizens of NYC and DC did).

Why would anyone want to hide such information?

I'm surprised the government didn't stop the lift.

Anyone know what the Coast Guard was doing?

I mean, George W. Bush got a great lift.

I'm not being a party pooper, just I never liked what the Republicans did . . about 911.

I asked that poster the same question. I'm hoping we get an answer, I truly have no idea what they are talking about.

New Yorkers came together like no city in America ever had before.

I can't even watch. I was one of those evacuated. It was a nightmare. There were some a**holes that day...I ended up near Jersey City and was shocked to see people cheering as the second tower collapsed. But overall people really pulled together and went out of their way to help each other. Small life affirmations in the middle of hell.
