YES, history will also not look kindly on us, the people either, as we are allowing this nonsense to continue year after year, without stepping in and removing this govt from power.
Everyone is too concerned with being obedient and compliant! If you look back thru history, those people that are eventually celebrated, usually disobeyed, resorted to violence on some level and /or destroyed property. History generally does not celebrate 'patriots' that are 100% obedient and compliant!! LOL
But we're told to swallow all the bull**** from Trump's twitter, and the 'patriots' seem to have no problem with that to the point of even siding with Russian over US interests.
The "deep state" has run the show now for decades and they are for the very first time is being identified and brought to light. It's the deepest foulest hole we have ever had to look into and Brennan is the man on the horse leading the charge against the President of the United States.
it's the biggest most important fight to bring the country back to the original vision of our founders.

The country has certainly been hijacked, but it's not by the derp state
Well, here we go with the Deep State Conspiracy stuff again.
How gullible are you all? It's a bunch of nonsense!
Fringe stuff like Big Foot, Aliens and Crop Circles.
Keep it up and people are going to think that you all are crazy.

Deep state
Trump and the Deepstate. As David Frum has pointed out, what Trump’s surrogates really mean by “the deep state” is the rule of law. The idea that there are civil servants or functionaries within the government whose chief trait is loyalty to the Constitution and to the ongoing administration of the state is intolerable to the autocratic mind. So, if those other actors challenge the White House, they must be taunted, demoralized, and, if possible, dismissed....
The effort today is not to get at the truth but to make the truth look unobtainable. By damaging people’s confidence not just in good government but in the separation of powers, which allows one part of the government to investigate another, you create an illusion of powerlessness that can only produce rage and despair, the two emotions that Trumpism profits from. Progressives who imagine that conspiracy thinking ever helps their causes are deluded. Pessimism about reform is essential to the authoritarian mind. Confusion is its lifeblood. Then preposterous theories become just as likely as rational ones. Any potential attempt to collude with a hostile foreign government to undermine democracy becomes the same as an attempt by others to find out if anyone has been potentially colluding. It’s Chinatown, friends. You can’t trust anyone.
What we should fear is not a deep state but a state robbed of its depth. As the historian Timothy Snyder has pointed out many times, it is when states are robbed of their memory and their self-respect, which are most often embodied in a civil-servant class, that tyranny flourishes. There is no “deep state” that exists beyond the scrutiny of responsible citizens; there is a cynical paranoia that always acts, and is meant to, as a pathogen to public trust.
Now that he is president, Mr. Trump’s baseless stories of secret plots by powerful interests appear to be having a distinct effect. Among critics, they have fanned fears that he is eroding public trust in institutions, undermining the idea of objective truth and sowing widespread suspicions about the government and news media that mirror his own.
“The effect on the life of the nation of a president inventing conspiracy theories in order to distract attention from legitimate investigations or other things he dislikes is corrosive,” said Jon Meacham, a presidential historian and biographer. “The diabolical brilliance of the Trump strategy of disinformation is that many people are simply going to hear the charges and countercharges, and decide that there must be something to them because the president of the United States is saying them.”
...
But Mr. Trump’s willingness to peddle suspicion as fact has implications beyond the Russia inquiry. It is a vital ingredient in the president’s communications arsenal, a social media-fueled, brashly expressed narrative of dubious accusations and dark insinuations that allows him to promote his own version of reality.
Students of Mr. Trump’s life and communication style argue that the idea of conspiracies is a vital part of his strategy to avoid accountability and punch back at detractors, real or perceived, including the news media.
“He’s the blame shifter in chief,” said Gwenda Blair, a Trump biographer. “Conspiracies, by definition, are things that others do to you. You’re being duped; you’re being fooled; the world is laughing at us. It goes to this idea that you can’t believe anything that you read or see. He has sold us a whole way of accepting a narrative that has so many layers of unaccountable, unsubstantiated content that you can’t possibly peel it all back.”... “A lot of people really want to believe a conspiracy because it’s a lot easier to think a malevolent force is in charge than that our government is run by idiots,” Mr. Erickson said in an interview.
Apparently, the idea or concept there are civil servants within the government whose chief trait is loyalty to the Constitution is anathema to the Authoritarian followers.
Damaging the American people’s confidence in democracy & in the legitimacy of the separation of powers, (part of which allows one part of the government to investigate another), has resulted in a perceived powerlessness of the peoples.
Further dividing an already divided people. Cui bono?
Perhaps his infamous brag that he "could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue & shoot somebody & not lose his authoritarian followers" should be revealed for what it essentially means:
He could kill American democracy, the rule of law, loyalty to the Constitution, & the legitimacy of the separation of powers ...

Anyone who will not acknowledge the existence of the Deep State is either corrupt or delusional. All you have to do is look at the candidates we are given BY THEM to vote for. Donald Trump came out of left field for them.
Chris Hedges, on his RT show, recently defined it almost exclusively in terms of big business. I think the quote was something very short like, “It’s Raytheon, Goldman, and Exxon!!!”
Which complicates things, as Trump’s cabinet has large amounts of reps from Goldman and Exxon in it.
When I saw Whoopie Goldberg, impatiently exclaim..."Just exactly what is the deep state..." as if she was offended at being left off some guest list, I really had to acknowledge how dumb she and millions of others remain.

So amusing...
The depths of these nutball conspiracies that right wingers go to in order to rationalize their aversion to reality. The 100% GOP government is paralyzed and and unable to advance their agenda, not due to internal squabbling and foolishness, but because some career bureaucrats block their every move repeatedly.
