I think it's important to note that trump-voters are not really conservatives. They're reactionaries.

Like you, I used to cut some slack about connecting the term conservatives to Trump, but I can no longer do so since Conservative Republican reticence to criticize Trump implies that they agree with him.
So in closing, Trump is a conservative Republican and so are his voters and acolytes.
He’s a NYC liberal who believes in partial birth abortions and gun control(on video) but exploited conservatives to vote for him anyway.
