Just dropped $5K a few months ago to renew my season tickets.
I'm a veteran and I don't care if people sit or stand for the anthem. That freedom is what makes this country great, not flag worship.
If you REALLY want to honor our veterans, get them quality healthcare and get thousands of them off the streets.
Standing up for the anthem at an NFL game does nothing to help our veterans, it just makes you feel better about yourself.
Thank you for your service, Knox. Great post overall, but I love the bolded part that specifically addresses the kneeling.
With you being a veteran, I would respect your opinion much more than non veteran's opinion on this issue. So many Trump supporters on here, most of whom have never served in the military, are speaking for veterans.
I'd prefer to hear the opinion of actual veterans like yourself when it comes to whether or not our military members and vets feel disrespected by players kneeling.
And if YOU, a veteran, are not offended by the kneeling, I don't care what anyone else has to say.
I'm not a huge football fan, but I do watch when my Steelers play. Nothing has changed for me, I don't let the kneeling or any of that affect the game for me.
When I go to a lot of events, they play the national anthem, and a lot of people take off their hats and hold their hand over their heart, but a lot just go about their business and ignore what is happening. I especially see this at places like the drag races, where some fans are getting food or just walking around while the anthem is being played.
It would be nice to be a Steelers fan. Vikings fan here, I’m sure you understand

This ^^^^ I remember my Dad, aircrew on 55 combat missions during WW II, fully endorsing the right of people to protest the Vietnam War, made me love him even more.

It would be such a refreshing change if politicians on both sides of the aisle started worrying about what's really important and not just window-dressing.
I don't care if 100 or so of the 1,600+ NFL players take a knee to peacefully protest. Several veterans here have said they are not offended, so I'm fine with it.
Havent been in since Art Model took my football team. I packed my toys and went home realizing it was only about billionaire owners increasing their massive wealth. St Louise, San Diego, Oakland... just prove it more.

Yep, I was bummed when the Rams shipped back to LA. Still a fan, though.
