My God. How much sillier can this nation become? The very notion that tweeting is now a form of governmental information is so ludicrous as to be laughable if it wasn't true.

The United States of America has lost all its dignity and pride as a nation. We have allowed ourselves to become a society of bitter clowns.

Is your private site for providers and users of an "interactive computer service" who publish information provided by others?

You better make damn sure there is nothing anyone posts ever that you could be sued for, even if it up for a second and someone screen captures it. You would need review before it went public.

IOW, spoiled little brat upset the world doesn't dedicate itself to pleasing him.
It isn't just him.
It is the 1st amendment and internet discrimination. Something realized 12 years ago, that could be used as a weapon, for a magnitude of reasons. Rules were placed as the internet market place expanded rapidly, where discrimination could put individuals out of business. They saw the future and the evils that breed with power.

They have the liberty to not have others think for them, and what is good enough for them to see, stricter than the FCC censorship restrictions. The CDA is pretty clear. You go beyond and censor non-offensive speech, you lose your immunity and can be sued for any and all content on your site.

It is getting irrational and really silly now!
It must be slowly hitting home for the Communist, that the Bill of Rights does apply to the internet in the USA.

  1. The defendant must be a "provider or user" of an "interactive computer service."
  2. The cause of action asserted by the plaintiff must treat the defendant as the "publisher or speaker" of the harmful information at issue.
  3. The information must be "provided by another information content provider," i.e., the defendant must not be the "information content provider" of the harmful information at issue.
If they have immunity as they do now, because they are to be nondiscriminatory,(which it is documented they are not) Google, Twitter, Youtube, Facebook and the user posting the libel, and lies cannot be sued because of immunity.
Once they start censoring beyond the FCC requirements, they can be sued for content. The user that posted it and the provider that hosted it.

Third, that argument is totally different from Ted Cruz's argument, which is based on the CDA.
Yes they do, It is in the CDA.
Exactly Political content is not considered offensive. If Twitter wanted to censor curse words they can. That is in the CDA FCC. Providers can give more liberty to users than the FCC requires, but the government is there to secure our liberty, not to allow it to be taken and for once this actually does just that.
The internet is the same as radio and TV in the USA, with a lot more flexibility in what is allowed, but little flexibility beyond reasonable predetermined criteria by the FCC, on what is taken. TV and Radio are not virtual worlds to travel.

Im going to have to run out and let everyone who has ever been sued for libel on those platforms know that GASP they're immune!

You keep trying to convolute this into something it isn't. People point out over and over why you're wrong, and you ignore it and just add fresh nonsense like this claim about people posting things on these platforms being immune to libel laws.
