So the big mantra these days is we shouldn't borrow money from China to pay for PBS and other "social programs". PBS gets something like $130M a year. So wouldn't it stand to reason that cutting something like foreign aid which totals in the billions be on the chopping block too? I mean why stop and pick up a dime when you can pick up a $10 bill...Just makes sense, or doesn't it?

I am all in favor of cutting aid to foreign countries that hate us and train their children to go to war against us. Ask Obama not to give Egypt the billions of dollars that are probably being deposited right now....can you?

I didn't say that. Please, this is not a flame war.

I asked, a simple question. Why not mention the BIG stuff. Don't tell me about clipping coupons to save money, talk about where the big dollars are going. $50Billion is a LOT of money so if he does put it on the table, then he would be consistent.

That's kind of my point. When people talk about cutting, they are talking about cutting stuff they don't identify with, and keeping stuff that they like. So let's cut the $2B that goes to Egypt, but keep the $3B that goes to Isarel. The *only* politician who consistently put it all on the table was Ron Paul.

I repeat, EVERY program will be reviewed, IMO, as it should be.

Romney wants to give more to the real welfare queens of The Miitary Industrial Complex.

Meet the Welfare Queens of the 1%: The Moochers Mitt Missed Work for the Pentagon

Romney is not a Neocon and in fact he actually stands for nothing, but his puppeteers are Neocons thru and thru..

Sounds logical to me.
Where or who do we cut first?
We'll still have a need for bases overseas in case anyone tries any funny stuff.
I wouldn't mind paying egypt or another country if they kept the people who want to kill us under wraps.
The 9/11 terrorists were saudi's weren't they?

Maybe they should cut social programs like SS, medicare, food stamps, UE benefits, planned parenthood and others, just to see how Americans would react to it?

Maybe PBS needs to fall inline with other profitable tv and radio stations? advertising every 8 minutes.

I have always been for cutting foreign aid. Why should MY tax dollars support anything but OUR country?
