Except that there are nearly 16 million Mormons in the world today and none of them are in polygamous relationships.

Poor comparison since polygamy is against the law, but wearing a hijab in not.

Good for these women, although 60k is too low of a penalty and this ruling will not deter the NYPD in the future. Now if that judgement was 1 million each that would teach the NYPD a lesson.

This country is becoming a joke due to mass, global immigration and diversity. We got to stop allowing these misfit muslim emigrating to America. The only reason they are allowed to immigrate is to be counter culture, to be a parasitic and predatory burden and to divide, and they play that role to a T.

Come to a foreign country, do not follow laws of that country, sue that country for making you follow law.
And win??!!
America is becoming a cesspool of sorts.

...
People born here don't want to follow the laws of this country either.

Lots of people want religious freedom - freedom to not bake cakes for protected classes of people, for example, despite agreeing to not discriminate when requesting a business license.

Clearly this court felt that these young women were deserving of the same religious freedom that some cake bakers and their supporters want for themselves.

If you agree that bakers deserve to practice their religious beliefs, why not these young women?

These women are arrogant ills.
And there are a lot more out there.
This case that they sued and got tax payer money is only a brick in a path being formed to pave the direction of this crap.

what is with the assumptions that ALL Muslims must be immigrants????

There are millions of native-born American women who happen to be Muslims, some of whom do wear hijabs.

Are they not allowed to practice their religion as they see fit?

These xenophobic statements are beyond the pale.

I see what you are saying.

Although, the cake bakers who did not want to bake a cake for a gay couple got fined.
The bakers said it was not in their religious belief.
And now there is a case pending for the Colorado baker with the same thing.

Then the Muslim women who would not take off their head gear due to their beliefs won and got money.

It is wrong in my eyes.
It seems like we as a nation are cowarding down to foreigners who want to come after the USA.

Yes, some people born here do not want to follow laws either.
But it is scrutinized more, as it should be, when someone wants to live the “American Dream” come here and try to change our laws.

Again, completely ignoring the fact that there are millions of American-born Muslims in this country.

Are they, or are they not permitted religious freedom?

If not for changing the immigration law in 1965 there wouldn't hardly any native born immigrants. The vast majority of muslim immigrated around 73% after 1990. Almost all of them are product of the 1965 Immigration Act.

Because that's what this boils down to:

Tax payer money has been wasted because someone was "distraught" over their fairy tale beliefs not being respected! It's really absurd to anyone who doesn't believe in the desert myths.
Tell it to the founders of the country.
