Trumps promises he’s going to build a 2,200 mile wall and Mexico is going to pay for it.

John Kelly says Trump is not ‘fully informed’ and that Trump has ‘evolved in the way he has looked at things”.
Kelly says there are places the wall “would not be realistic” and existing fencing “would suffice”.

Then Trump says “The Wall is the Wall, it has never changed or evolved”. And then goes on to say parts will be “see through” and that “is was never intended to be built in areas where there is natural protection”.

So it is gone from a 2,200 mile wall to part fence, part transparent (plexi glass?), non existent in some places.

As far as Mexico paying for it.

Trump initially says he wants out of NAFTA. Then he wants a better NAFTA, then NAFTA will pay for the wall.

All of this is so typical of an administration that has no clue and when reality smacks them in the face they side track and back step, change positions and generally lie that they had any other plans to begin with or that they were just misunderstood or others were lying.

A 16 billion dollar wall is a shot in the bucket compared to the hundreds of billions of dollars illegals drain from the US taxpayer through socialized benefits. Ill pay the extra 40 bucks in taxes to pay for the wall . The border should have been secured in the 80's. Its time to seal it off.

The wall is such a continuous issue the Dems are willing to harm the defense of the nation and shut the Gov. down over it.
The prime directive is defense of the nation and they will put non citizen priorities before the citizen.

Apple's contribution alone would build the wall and could fund a big beautiful door.

Bigger and better than ever dreamed before. A door rivaling the eight wonder of the world.

He asked for 18 billion for a very small section of the wall. The whole wall would cost well over $100 billion to build, and much more to maintain.

Partial wall? We have a partial wall now, and if that had solved the problem, we would not be having this conversation now.

Other than appointing conservative judges, border security has been my #1 issue for Trump. With that said,

$1-2 billion for additional manpower, drones, weapons, technology? I fully support. $16-18 billion for an actual huge wall that Trump "uninformingly" proposed during his campaign? I do not support.

It was cute when Trump told us all that Mexico would pay for the wall, but as a realist, I am well aware that the American taxpayer will be funding the wall. And I do not want 16 billion dollars spent on what Trump originally proposed, however I do want a few billion spent on beefing up border security with the latest and greatest technology and as many additional men and women the various federal organizations that protect our border may need.

terrain won't let "wall" be built in some areas. Most will be fencing which will serve the same purpose. Libs hung up on "wall" terminology. In reality they want open borders and no security

He preened when campaigning for votes that Mexico would pay for the wall. Then he asks for money in the federal budget to pay for part of the wall.

That is not OK and those excusing it away are just plain wrong.

The improvements in the system of "WALLS" is underway. Anti-American sentiments and defense of an open border is typical of the lawless Left. We see who has no clue.

Let me help you. Border security has been postponed long enough. We need to start pouring concrete and recover the money from the enabler Mexico via trade and tourism tariffs. The money is the easy part.
