Why are we going to pretend that countries like Haiti and some of those in Africa and Latin America aren't completely different in many ways from our own?.
How are they different? I was raised in South Florida and there are large communities of Haitian and Latin American immigrants. What's different?
You missed the first quote. It is from the Declaration of Independence.
And you missed my part where at the time this country wasn't a welfare state.
Do you think if our founding fathers(who were arguably more vulgar and brash than Trump could ever be) were here today they'd be happy that this country is importing people from these failed nation-states into our own country? At the expense of actual citizens?
LOL @ phony African degree. African are overrepresented at elite universities in the U.S.
As far as wanting people from Norway and other European nations, government assistance is the norm for most of them. Norwegian welfare is said to be among the best. So let Trump invite them to influence the system here. Obviously that is what he and you would prefer.
That 39% number is wrong. Very few of the people migrating here from Africa have a US degree most have BS African degrees that arent worth the paper they are printed on. They are not overrepresented in US elite universities only African royalty have the money to send their kids here for school. Africa makes up 16% of the worlds population yet only 4% of the foreign students(37,000 of 1 million foreign students and 20 million students in the US total). They are overrepresented only in comparison to black-American students.
Very... you wrote it. Why not expound on it? You posted here to share your perspective. If you don't want to, that's fine. Just a question.
It doesn't even require an explanation. It is quite obvious that the US and countries like Haiti are vastly different in just about every way. Haiti is one of the poorest countries in the world. Sanitation, education, disease prevalence, economy, etc. are all terrible compared to the US.
Can anyone answer the question of HOW importing poor people from third world hell holes benefits the American people? I can't think of a single benefit.

You didn't mention Latin America, but I'll assume you believe the continent is also improvished and consists of third world countries. So therefore, people coming from these places can't contribute, correct? That's ultimately the issue, yes?
