So,what specific steps can a private citizen take to get this nut out of office before he destroys everything our Nation has worked so hard, and shed so much blood,to achieve?
Your brain has been hijacked....utterly. Don't let others own your thinking. Like every other Prez, he's going to do good things, bad things, smart things, dumb things and on and on.

Here's my issue. Trump aside, there is something wrong with a system that allows this: the only way to remove a mentally unstable person from office seems to rely on the vice president to be in agreement that said President is mentally unfit. What if the vice president is also mentally unfit?
While it shouldnt be easy to remove an elected person from office, if they are putting the nation itself at risk, it shouldnt be that difficult either. When the next democrat gets into office, whenever that is (because of course Republicans wouldnt take it on), this needs a re-think. There ought to be other systems in place - perhaps a vote of no-confidence from the Presidents party. Yes I know there's impeachment but that seems to have too narrow a scope.
Presidents should not have such immunity as has been demonstrated with Trump. There have been no consequences whatsoever for his blatant lies and childish insults, but mainly that he refuses to even acknowledge the fact that Russia meddled in the election. He hasnt even bothered to put the new sanctions against Russia in place. It's treasonous behaviour but there don't seem to be any repercussions for him not carrying them out.

This is not about Trump...this is about history and longevity.
Totally agree, and Trump ran with the birther messaging that appealed to those people. They are his base and they love Trump's pathological hate for Obama so much that they would forgive him literally anything because he is the embodiment of their hate. That said, a lot of the country does see Trump for what he is and I eagerly look forward to Trump's departure from office.
Yeah, you know, if you look at some of the conspiracy theories that people ACTUALLY BELIEVE, it makes you wonder what planet these folks are from. There are people who still believe Obama was born elsewhere. There are some people who still believe he is a Muslim. There are people who swear Hillary runs a porn ring out of the pizza shop and kills her opponents by night !
And these are the same people who are so afraid of education that they have total disdain for our colleges and anyone who actually studies things.
Trump was perfect for that segment of America. They don't want someone who speaks well, who is a deep thinker, or who is able to put together a complete sentence. They want someone like them, who is crass, outspoken, and who does not get mired down in facts.
Lately I have become frustrated with the various organizations working on getting theclown out of the White House. Many organizations are following up on the emolumentclause, but it has been nine months on what looked like a lay-up, and stillnothing. The Congress has proposed, or drafted, some legislation to move forward with the articles ofimpeachment, but nothing. The lawsuits are piling up, be they fraud, sexual harassment,rape, and other heinous behaviors, but nothing seems to break the back of thismonster. And then we have Mueller’s work. Seems like he has a very strong teamof very capable investigators, prosecutors, and criminologists who are verycapable of moving forward to get this maniac out of the office, but where arethey? What is going on? I appreciate their confidentiality as regards theirwork, but the more time that goes by, the more work which will need to be doneto get our nation back on track. Just think of the destruction which the Donaldhas done in everything from trade, to jobs, to our allies, to health care, tothe environment, to education, to infrastructure spending—not to mention theoverall embarrassment he has brought to the oval office in front of the internationalaudience. The only friends we have left are four dictators which he thinks arejust thrilling. Oh my god, how did we ever get in such a mess, and how longwill it take to restore our Nation once this jack a$$ is removed from office,and when?

If you don't care for our current POTUS, then work with your party to find a decent candidate for the next election.
Spinning your wheels moaning and groaning about President Trump is a waste of valuable time. He will remain in office until another candidate wins the next presidential election.
Plus, nobody under 70 knows what the Democrats stand for.
Democrats only stand for Hate Trump, they have no other message other than White People are Racist.
That worked really well in 2016 - it's mind boggling that the Left can't work out how they lost over 1,000 seats in 8 years, the House, the Senate, State Legislatures and Governor's Mansion and the White House.
They just can't figure it out -- so they will Double Down on what caused all that.
